Evening Classes
January 2026, 6.30-9.00pm
Rowan, Cambridge
Working with a range of media you will realistically depict detailed drawings of plants, their flowers and fruits to create unique botanical artwork. The course will begin with basic drawing skills, techniques and analysing a subject. In the initial weeks you will produce sketchbook pages and you will then go on to work on a final personal project of your choice in the later weeks.

2 Day course, Illustrating fruits in colour pencil
19th and 20th November
University of Cambridge Botanic Gardens
On this two-day course, we will be working from life to illustrate the wonderful colours and textures found on fruits. The course will begin with a drawing exercise where you will have the opportunity to learn how to create textures. Following on from our exploratory morning you will have the opportunity to choose your subject matter to work on for the remainder of the course.

Botanical Illustration Workshop
6th June 2026
Tindalls Art Shop, Cambridge
Working from life you will accurately illustrate a flowerhead in colour pencil and ink. You will observe your chosen subject in detail looking at it from all angles and will have the opportunity to dissect your flower and look within to observe the botanical structure.

Botanical Lino Printing Workshop
4th July 2026
Tindalls Art Shop, Cambridge
On this day workshop you will be drawing natural finds such as seed pods and flowers. Working with lino cutting tools you will create your own lino stamps which can be arranged or layered together to print into multiple compositions.
